Granite Homes & Construction were commissioned to provide Engineering services for this complex project which had limited existing documentation, therefore, requiring extensive survey and verification works.
The project involved the refurbishment of 14 low rise floors and conversion from a central air handling plant to a floor-by-floor air handling system and relocation of all mid-rise plant room equipment, including chillers, to the roof plant room.
The mid-rise plant room was then converted into two new office floors.
The staging and methodology for the works were critical as the building was fully occupied during the entire refurbishment process. Low-rise floors were progressively converted from the bottom up, to stand-alone operation and once converted, plant room equipment was decommissioned.
